A Brief Moment in The Golden Dome Mosque

To celebrate the festive Ramadhan which will end in a few days, I decided to upload some photos that I took couple years ago. When I looked over my photo collection last night, I found these pictures that I took when I visited Dian Al-Mahri Mosque aka Masjid Kubah Emas or Golden Dome Mosque, back in February 6, 2010. The grand mosque is located in Depok, West Java, and known as it's decorated by gold in several parts. Since it's open for public in December 31, 2006, this place has became a must-visit item for most moslems in Indonesia.

Around The Fatahillah

In January, 24, 2009, I had a chance to pass by Fatahillah Museum. It was in the early morning, so the museum was still close. But the environment still fascinated me. There were some old buildings which still stood from the past, when the city of Jakarta was still occupied by the Dutch. The morning scene was splendid here. So, I wandered around for a while outside the museum, taking in everything in the past. :) The Museum, already swarmed by people who held some morning activities . Actually, this journey was a marketing promotion from Cikidang Plantation. They'd build housing and plantation projects up there, including school, market, factory etc. Maybe the project is already done by now.  Oil Palm Plantation I passed this road on the way there, and I was surprised that it was really, really quiet. The road that less travel. I wish there are more roads like this in the city. I saw this old man walking down lamely that uneven rocky path. His determination amazed me. This small house was so attempting. Who doesn't wanna give anything to live quietly here? Some people I guess. The lodges where we stayed. Not my favorite, but quite homy actually. You can enjoy the view from up there. The sunset was beautiful if you're lucky. No doubt that th...
