Amazing Afternoon at Bali Barat National Park

I entered Bali Barat National Park by chance, after arriving at Gilimanuk port. We just rode along the road and suddenly there's a board signing that we're at National Park's area. Well, we just continued until we saw the beach. It's already late in the afternoon, so we decided to hang out for a while, since it's a rare opportunity to be in a National Park.

Bali Barat National Park is a home of Baly Myna and several rare species animals. But in this part of the Park that we visited, these birds and those animals didn't appear. We heard some chirping sound though, however I wasn't so sure if that's the sound of the starlings.

Eventhough, it's such a short visit, since the sun was setting already, I felt this finding was like  a great surprise. Who would know that we could visit this great National Park by chance?

Baluran After The Rain

When I visited Baluran National Park at the end of 2015, it was on December, and the Park was in humid condition after the rain poured down hard in the afternoon. So, I couldn't see the famous savanna that was similar to its counterpart in Africa. However, I still could capture the beauty of it with a slight of luck, because my visit was in critical hours when the Park was nearly closed. It was also almost dusk, so the light wasn't too generous.  The famous icon of Baluran: Bull skulls. The welcome board. Bekol Savannah after the rain. Mangrove roots. Calm. A single boat at Bama Beach. People can snorkeling here when the weather is sunny. The centerpiece: Mount Baluran.
